Whether I was tranded on a desert island or vacationing at home, I would wish for a navigation device like a Magellan or a Tom-Tom. I can get lost just going frm my house to the grocery store.I have absolutly NO sense of direction.

I think I'd want some sort of satellite phone running off solar power so I could call for help and get off of the island.
an ipad for sure. if I can make the best of it, at least a few hours of gaming, movie watching, etc. heck, with its multipurpose use, it could event help make some shade when its juice is out.
