Yes because their business model still makes their prices lower. Remember that they are not just a shop, they are an aggregator.

I'll still shop there -- but definitely not as often. Especially for more expensive products, sales tax makes a big difference.. So sad Sad

All depends on the end price. Product + shipping + tax. If local stores, or other internet sites, beat them then I'll go there.

No tax at the moment is what makes the difference in shopping elsewhere and Amazon.....

Not as often, sales tax where I live is 10%, so online shopping can save me some $$.

Yes. Amazon always has what I'm looking for, has helpful product reviews, and ships fast.

Yes, maybe with a few exceptions, like if B&H or NewEgg have an electronic item for the same price without tax.

Probably, for convenience and price sake... but it's quite possible that it'll be less. Still, sales tax is a lot less that shipping (free over $25)

A lot of my decision will be based on the final TOTAL cost for identical items. If I can purchase something locally cheaper, I will do so. If the final cost is cheaper through Amazon, I will buy it online. If the final cost is cheaper elsewhere (g, eBay,) they will get my business. This has always been my philosophy - so the fact that Amazon may charge me sales tax is a moot point.

Yeah I most likely will, especially if they roll out the same day delivery.

I don't think I will, it will all depend, usually Amazon prices can't be beat.

Amazon started charging tax for TX on July 1, 2012. I am definitely checking other outlets first before ordering anything from Amazon now. Usually Newegg and Buy.com have similar prices with no tax and free shipping. It also depends on the value of the item. For smaller stuff I will probably still go to Amazon but for big ticket items like flat screen TVs I am definitely considering other options.
