It will be painful, but yes, I will continue to shop at Amazon....even with tax included in the pricing, they're still bound to have the best deals most of the time, just like today. I'm a Prime member, so being able to shop and compare and have it at my door in two days, all from my desktop, can't be beat. I'll still look around for the best deals of course, but I have little doubt I will end up doing 95%+ of my buying off Amazon, tax and all. Great to read the reviews from consumers, and their customer service is second to none.

depends on the price of item im looking at. amazon is great for buying electronics or semi-expensive/expensive items. if they start taxing, what's the point of shopping there, when walmart or best buy would offer the same thing right next to me?! esp in cali where taxes are almost 10% of items pricing. so my answer is no if the price difference between amazon and all the other retails become small.

Only if the bottom line price is right.

The same thing happened to Newegg a while back, but I still shop there every now and then despite the sales tax.

yes - because of the convenience of having things I would normally need to run all over town for being dropped off at my door... my life is busy enough and that really saves me time, energy, and a lot of frustration.

I'll still shop there, although I'll probably drop Amazon Prime at that point.

All depends on the end price. Product + shipping + tax. If local stores, or other internet sites, beat them then I'll go there.

It all depends like most situations. Do I want to pay taxes?...no. I would like it to continue the way it is now. I don't pay taxes but I do pay for prime, it is worth the money. I would only pay for the taxes if the deal is sooo good that even paying the taxes beats the best deal that I can find. Amazon does continue to have phenomenal deals but I have been able to beat it in a few cases.

I live in Oregon, where there's no state sales tax, so it won't affect me either way. Don't get me started on our sky-high income taxes though.

Already in a state that Amazon has to charge tax in, so my patronage to them will remain the same as it has been.

Yeah since they already charge me tax here in NY. That's why I use Newegg for most of my electronics purchases.

Yeas, but I'm more likely to check around, first. Maybe it will drive me to shop locally at the B&M stores, instead, in order to get the products without the shipping delay...

No, I'll buy new from stores on ebay, many who list on amazon as well.

Yes, I'd still buy from Amazon even after tax. Prime shipping is great, and even the $25 and over free super shipping is a deal sometimes.

I would probably buy from amazon less and probably more from ebay since the tax could bump up the prices for a lot of things.
