Except for Sony's copy protection Bull baconnaise
Copy Protection received a 1/10 from Me.
Funny part is that it was all crap.
2k Games was all burp excited about how tough the copy protection was, and it managed to last all of about 3 days before it was cracked and distributed.
I was perfectly willing to buy a copy of the game - I own licenses to all of the games that I enjoy. I flat out refuse to support such an invasive and extreme copy protection policy, though. It's complete bullshit and doesn't even accomplish anything significant. All it does is make life miserable for the normal users who paid good money to go through such a hassle; the game still gets cracked, still gets distributed, and nobody is any better off.
2k Games can tongue-bathe my hairy taint. After reading all the issues with activation, seeing people bounced from contact to contact, knowing I was going to have permanent registry keys installed, and finding out that the CD that I bought and paid for DIDN'T EVEN CONTAIN ENOUGH FILES TO PLAY THE GAME, I booted up Bittorrent.
burp copyright, dl the torrent.
And only being able to install the game on 1 PC and 1 Laptop is bogus. You bought the game, you should be able to do whatever-the-f*** you want with it.
Copy right stuff is getting way too invasive nowadays. Stick with keeping track of what CD-keys you release. Sure, it only makes people buy the game if they want to play online, but that's really all you can enforce.
Judging from the recommended system requirement,
(Dual Core 3.0GHz, 7900GT or better)
I'll have to spend $1,038 to play this game.
($38 for the game, $1,000 in upgrades)...
#7, it's the cool thing to do.
#5, unfortunately, I was torn between tongue-bathing my hairy ass, or my sweaty taint, and my indecision led to the suggestion that I have a furry grundle.
Such is life.
i would love to insert this into my cornholio but with the copywrite protection ill only be able to do it a couple of times
I'll wait till they come out with the "No Root Kit" version.
this game that great?
awesome game, #7, depending on your cpu and memory you may just need a newer video card about 150 bucks and you should be fine.
#12: not really. The demo video from last year looked better than the game played (the video showed the girls reacting to the environment & player, and the big daddy attacking the other NPC). Neither happened in the game - the little girl just sits there crying over the dead BD until you save or kill her.
The ending boss was SUPER LAME and took almost no time at all to beat him, even on the Difficult level.
The game DOES have a consistant plot line and moves along nicely, but it's just another FPS and doesn't raise the bar visually as one expects.
"perfect stores", i've always wanted one of those
Beware, the game crashes a lot on both PC and XBOX.
The only thing copy protection laws do is piss off those who obey them.
Why can't I fast-forward through the FBI warning on my DVD's? I paid for the movie, I own it, why do I need to sit though that baconnaise for 30 second, in 3 different languages!?
But, once you get over the fact you can't load the game on your and 8 of your little friends' computers, the game is pretty amazing.
They really broke from convention on this one.
Its definitely an experience worth sacking up for that new video card.
#17, you can get around most of the user prohibited crap on DVDs by pressing the Stop button and then Menu. Sometimes even pressing stop is not allowed in which case you have to press stop as soon as the DVD is inserted but before anything starts playing.
And people wonder why I keep playing Quake 3 Arena.
good googamooga, if BestBuy did not pwn me on this one.
