game is AMAZING. I opted for the 360 version though, because pc installs a rootkit and I am against 2k's particular copy right protection on moral principle.

    #2. WRONG.

Again, people just spread stupid bullshit around without checking the facts.

#4: It does not install a rootkit but do you believe the copy protection used is even-handed and good for the customer? I have read that many people have had problems with the copy protection and received the runaround.

    sincerely,

I have the PC version of the game. It installed flawlessly, I had no problems with activation. The whole activation scheme is going to be changed soon anyway....

I heard that for copywrite purposes a technician will come to your house to record a prostate imprint for verification.

    #6,

Whether or not copy protection is good for the consumer was not my point. #2 made an erroneous statement and I corrected him. If you're going to choose not to buy a game, at least get your reason(s) right and facts straight. I don't care whether you buy a game that has copy protection or not.

I understand your point. The fact remains that while the copy protection does not install a rootkit, the copy protection is overreaching and makes the likelihood that you will run into issues installing this game more likely than I will accept.

Don't you wonder why people thought this game installed a rootkit in the first place?

Also - don't take that burp tone with me you little carrotroach.

    sincerely,
    toddsucks

i heard you can only use the serial number twice on a pc, meaning you only get to install it twice. i don't know this for a fact, but if anyone does please sound off. i want this game, but i don't want to mess around with that, if it's true. otherwise it sounds like the 360 version is the way to go

#3, there is a functional patch in the works to get around that particular issue.

Yup, as #14 said, they've patched it to work (better) with older video cards.
