I always find it weird to play FPS on consoles.
But I did purchase this for computer and thought it was pretty good. The ending was pretty disappointing though, its really easy to beat the final boss on the hard setting with only a wrench =/
But I've been quite happy with the amount of good games that came out recently. Now if only GTA4 and Super Smash Bros., Brawl weren't delayed I could continue to violate my GPA with a wii mote
I used to think it was odd to play fps on consoles also, but after playing only console games the past few years I actually prefer it now. I did try this game on the computer and it was pretty good, but I don't see what all the hype is about.
I been waiting for this game to come out on sale
this one is an awesome game. Some say best of 2007. To bad my xbox 360 got the red ring of death and is at microsoft in texas being fix. Microsoft was fast sending the box to be shipped out. So have to give it to them. They made a mistake and are standing by their product and going to make it all nicey nice.
#2 - the hype surrounding this game goes deeper than what playing for a few minutes can reveal. This is a get-in-your-head, don't-play-before-bedtime sort of game...
whatever #3, if MS really want to stand by their products, a general recall should be issued. If Ford/GM/Toyota/Nissan had a 30% fail-rate, what do you think those BIG companies would do? Fanboys.....
can never tolerate FPS games... motion sickness....you guys never have that problem?
I did some research and found this isn't that great of a deal
can get it at amazon for 39.99 with free shipping and no tax
BioShock 39.99 free shipping and no tax<img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=eastcoastsurfer-20&l=ur2&o=1" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />
Hey #5 you can't compare a car company that you are paying anywhere between $15,000 and up for a car to a console gaming system. Plus there are safety issues in a car. Last time I check I never heard someone get killed by the red ring of death on an xbox 360 console. I can go on but you get my point or don't.
Don't get me wrong it isn't good to have a faulty product but things break and my xbox 360 is over 2 years old and they are fixing it for free. You don't see any other electronics company doing that.
Compare apples to apples please and maybe you can change my mind.
#6 I get sick all the time from FPS but I can't stop playing them.
I try to limit my game play to an hour then pop 2 advil to help with my vertigo.
#8:
You want to compare apples to apples? Look at the toy recalls that's been going on the last year? The last time I checked, 360 is a toy. When you have a general recall, you're not only betting on the prospect of your products hurting someone, you're trying to salvage an image for your company to your customers (not to mention a 30% fail-rate). When MS doesn't do that, it tells me that MS doesn't give a hoot about customers that are buying their products. How can anyone still defend MS after this is beyond me.
"I just bought a brand spanking new 360 that may fail 30% of the time within a year of my purchase, but if it fails it's OK.... I'll just have to send it back and wait 3 weeks before they send it back to me. But it's OK, they'll fix it for free????" WTF?
They're not standing by their products, they're out to screw their customers. Look at all the extra add-ons that aren't included when compared to the PS3? I'm not supporting either one, but MS is really screwing their earlier customers big time, aren't they?
I finally got around to buying this last week, and I have to say it is probably the most overrated game I have ever played. It's pretty derivative--think Fallout meets Deus Ex meets FEAR, all rolled up in an Unreal engine and set in Sealab 2020.
The only thing they managed to do differently was to introduce the MMO concept of "grinding" to what is more or less a traditional RPG/Shooter: ie you have to kill Big Daddies over and over to harvest the Adam from those creepy little girls if you want to have a chance of surviving later on.
It's really not that good.
And wth is with these filters? Any time you use an acronym with periods they go nuts.
#10 I'm no MS lover but you just sound like a scorned little bitch. Toy manufacturers don't friggin recall to "salvage their image", they recall cause the government tells them to. Usually cause they're slathered in lead paint, or some other crap that will kill little kids. Like #8 said, red rings of death might make you feel some white boy pain (what? no xbox for a couple weeks? my life is ooooovvveerrrrr) but it's not going to do physical harm here.
I've had a 360 for almost 2 years now and no problems. You think MS should send me a new one just in case my existing one goes bad? Maybe they should send a few, you never know what might happen. Or were you instead suggesting that I send in my perfectly fine 360 and be without it for a couple weeks, causing me white boy pain? That sounds like one hell of a business plan, Mr Future CEO of a Company Doomed from the Start.
#12:
There's no need for name calling. I'm simply stating the fact that if Mattel had a He-man action figure that had a broken arm every third one they sold, you would think the company would have the decency to stop making it until it solves the problem and gave the 15-17 million customers that bought the toy a piece of mind by recalling it and exchanging for a new toy. Do you seriously think that a multi-billion dollar company isn't connect to "THE GOVERNMENT" in issuing a recall (which is another topic for another day)? Because right now, if I'm looking to invest in a console that's 300-400 bucks, I sure as hell would want one that gives me less of a chance in breaking down.
Good for you that you didn't get a lemon when you bought your 360, so what do you say to one of the customers that does have one? But if the reported numbers are correct in that 30% of the 360 failed with RROD, that's about 5 MILLION pissed off customers for MS. That sure doesn't sound like a good business plan either, does it? Just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean it didn't happen to anybody else. Grow up and be realistic. MS should be held accountable for what they did.

If ANY part of this interview is true, that means MS knew about the fail rate of their equipment and still put that piece of crap out. How on earth do you defend a company that does business like that?
