I've seen this on sale in many different locations recently, usually around the $75 mark. I purchased one at that price and think that this vacuum is well worth the price.
I am not a vacuum connoisseur, so I cannot provide expert advice. I can, however, give anecdotal advice. When there is dirt on the floor and I use this vacuum, the visible dirt goes away. And that dirt then appears in an easy-to-empty cannister in the front of the machine. I have used this on carpet, hard wood flooring, vinyl, and tile, all with success. The attachments are very handy and useful. And putting it together was a piece of cake.
If you are looking for a basic vacuum cleaner, this is a good bet.
