Today only. eBay with Black & Decker has the Black & Decker 18 Volt 12" Cordless Grasshog Trimmer / Edger on sale for $60 with free shipping. Features 5 amp motor, AFS feed spool, cord lock, and two 18 Volt NiCad battery packs.
I compared this to a middle-end Stihl and except for the 15 minutes of (combined) battery life, this is just as good imo. Plus no bumping and no maintenance.
I've got the corded grasshog -- this cordless one is tempting as I hate walking that extension cord around the house. So the dual battery lasts 15-20 mins?
I have the similar Worx model with a single nicad battery. I have two batteries and that is plenty to trim and blow clippings off driveway/walkways (blower also battery powered). Personally I love having all battery powered lawn equipment, so easy and much lighter. Even the wife gets out there to do some work since she doesn't have to mess with gasoline or oil and everything is light enough.
I bought this 2 years ago for 99 bucks and it works great. I have a 1 acre lot with all kinds of trimming and usually make it on one charge. This is just one of many tools in the Black and Decker cordless system which helps you collect batteries so that power is never a problem. I love the system.

I can do a 1/3 acre of fence & landscaping on two batteries.

That's what I get of continuous high power usage (trimming and edging). Edging uses more power. After that power drops quickly.
Does this work on extra thick hair?

It's unexpired - at least just now when I checked at 6:05 EST.
