$40 for this HA HA
If i remember right a 12V air pump is like 10+ something dollars...
a piece of crap might be 10 bucks, but if you need a tire inflated today and are willing to spend about 50, get a Q Industries MV50. Example, but they can be found cheaper incl. on ebay at times. AKA MF-1050, I got mine for $50 delivered and laugh at all the time wasted on crappy stuff like this one, let alone the $10 pumps. You can literally spend a half hour waiting on a tiny pump while you watch it wear out trying to fill a tire, and the low volume makes it impossible to seat the bead on a rim if you're starting from empty.

damn dave, when was the last time you needed to seat the bead? the mv50 looks awesome, but overkill for me
I bought this and quickly returned it. The PSI gauge has a dial on it to stop the pressure from exceeding whatever you set it to. But the first time you turn the thing on, the needle goes all the way up then settles back down. Once it hits that "max" psi ring, it shuts down. Total useless feature. Also the air cord is like 1 foot long where the power cable is 2 feet long. Not nearly long enough for work in a garage. Total piece of junk, do not waste your money.
More often than you might imagine. Wheelbarrow, lawn tractor, motorcycle, tho I didn't bother trying to use that pump to seat the bead on my 4x4 tires, it's still too weak for that. First time you have to drag wheels to a gas station or pay someone you easily recognize the value in having it. A shop air compressor is even better of course, but less portable. This is handy for stowing in the rear when going offroading.
It's about time too though, I have a much smaller portable pump I bought prior to that one and it takes about 10 minutes just to raise a typical sized car tire from ~ 20-something lbs to 32 lbs. Long freakin' time, this pump does it before I can even get the next valve cap off and unscrew the coupling.
They also make the next size down, MV40 or MF-1040 IIRC, sold on ebay, maybe Pep Boys or Autozone and rarely with a rebate at one of these latter two (probably Pep Boys). IIRC it goes for about $30 w/o a rebate.
