This is a pretty decent little rice cooker for a single or small family. For the most part it's easy to clean as long as you clean it right away. The exception is the glass lid. The escaping steam carries carries starch which turns into a cement like substance on the lid.
FYI the key to great rice is using great rice and not just the generic stuff.
^ wash the rice thoroughly to get rid of the starch before putting it in the rice cooker. That should take care of that problem
Buy Basmati rice from costco for fluffier rice and Jasmine rice for sticky.
General tip for cleaning cookware:
Don't set it aside and eat, then later thinking about cleaning. Fill your sink or wash tub with hot soapy water and put the cookware in it before you eat so it soaks till you are done eating.
Even so I have to agree that cookware with crevices and lots of different parts are more of a PITA to clean.
That's the cheapest rice cooker I've seen. I paid over $50 for mine.
Good price, to bad I have to pay tax in CA.
Never understood the need for a rice cooker; 20 minutes in the microwave and it's dinner time.
No more flied lice for me, plick.
