I tied one of these a year or 2 ago.. it sucked. I think it just left it in my car glove box when I sold that beast. I thought I'd like it for podcasts, but it wouldn't resume or there wasn't away to ffw to a place in a mp3 file. It made it bad for long podcasts. sound quality was too poor for music IMO.
None of these transmitters work very well but I have this one and use it on occasion and works as well as any of the other ones I have tried. Not recommended in urban areas due to the crowded spectrum but works well enough out in the country. I don't use the remote or memory card feature so can't comment on that. This costs less and has more features than most so can't go too wrong for $4.
I've got one of these, and it works very well for long trips. I say that because for riding around town and having it plugged into the cigarette lighter socket and using a flash drive with mp3's on it, it "forgets" where it was when you turn off the ignition. When you start up it reverts back to the first mp3 on the flash drive. So, my feeling is that, for me, it's a good item for long travels without turning the ignition off. One other gripe I've got with it is that if you put multiple mp3 files on it of an audio book, and you correctly call the files something like (for instance) A-BookChapter01, B-Chapter02, etc, etc, you'd think it would play those files in that order....it doesn't. It mixes the files up in an order of its own choosing. Bottom line, I guess, is that for the 4 bucks it's not bad to have, but it does have its drawbacks.
