Why do I need a vent mounted phone holder if the phone is bound to the speaker? I mean, with a vent mounted phone holder, I could just use the speakerphone on the phone itself, couldnt I?

does your phone have active noise reduction? The BlueAnt Speakerphone does. Lots of reviews say its awesome. How many product reviews say your phone's speakerphone mode is awesome?

Here is a review of it on Amazon:

"BlueAnt Supertooth Light - Works good with few complaints. Connects automatically every time. Has mini USB for charging which is exactly the same as my phone. OK speaker volume (but the volume may cause an echo on the other end). I like how turning the unit on or off is accomplished by pushing the mic in/out. Magnetic clip is nice. "

Here is a review of the Motorola T505

"Motorola T505 - Nice aesthetics. Connects automatically every time. Has mini USB power connector exactly the same as my phone. Very good speaker volume and I love the option of using the FM transmitter with my car stereo for even better sound and volume. No complaints from people on the other end and they never heard an echo like the BlueAnt. I haven't tried using the music player but that isn't why I bought it. I prefer the Supertooth II on/off mic switch over the Motorola back of the unit location. This is by far the best unit for use with my Sprint Touch and the one I'll keep using. Works fantastic!"

does the moto have noise reduction comparable to this blue ant? I'm thinking about getting one for my mom since she doesn't like to put things in her ear.

I am extremely pleased with the Motorola T505 as are two other members of my family. I would recommend it to anyone looking to use their cell phone while driving.

I bought one of these earlier this year to use as a speakerphone for my home office since my mobile phone was my only contact number. The first one I received had bad reverb for the other party and since I was using this for business, I immediately returned it to buy.com who sent me a replacement which worked great.

Again, since I was using this for business, I was very sensitive to how it sounded to the customers and I found that it really depended upon the other party's phone. Most people said it sounded fine, my folks said it was loud, and one customer in particular said it was faint and that was a consistent behavior with that customer.

I still have it and use it whenever I use my mobile phone at home. I haven't tried it in the car since I have the Motorola H700 earpiece which I use there and saves me the hassle of having to always carry the BlueAnt in and out of the house.
