FWIW, I've had one of these for probably 12 years now. I normally wouldn't even think twice about it, but I've been using it a LOT this week putting in 3/4" hickory flooring. I honestly didn't think I'd use this, but I've ended up using it quite a bit. It's still a fantastic tool that I love.
It doesn't exactly glide through the hickory the way it slid through Pergo 12 years ago, but considering the difference between this and the old Skil saw it replaced, it's fantastic. (It does cut nearly as quickly as the 10" Dewalt table saw I've used to make the majority of cuts.)
Well worth the $100+ I spent on it back in the late '90's.
