You keep your hands down? I'm not surprised.
These are heavy. Best thing you can do is put them down.

Wow. For $359 you could buy about 1,500 pounds of iron. Or you could buy about 9 sets of adjustable dumbbells and weights from Walmart. Who could pass up the opportunity to own one pair of dumbbells for the same price as 9 pairs?

This site is starting to get pretty spammy with deals submitted by the dealers and manufacturers themselves, and they aren't deals at all.

These dumbbells have issues. The weights stick often and the selection mechanism fails over long periods of time. For my close friends wedding, I bought him powerblock sport series 5.0 (5-50lbs IN 2.5 LB INCREMENTS) after researching a ton about the differences in the adjustable dumbbells. How many of you are actually using dumbbells >50 lbs? Something to consider. It's your money so do as you wish, but do check out powerblocks website and notice that the way in which you adjust your weight IS MUCH MORE SOLID AND DURABLE. (No - I'm not a salesman for powerblocks, I just want to help out the community) - http://www.powerblock.com/Sportseries.html

Seems expensive for weights. For that money I want someone to lift them for me.

I have a set of PowerBlocks and are happy with them. They seemed a bit expensive at the time, but nothing like these Bowflex things.
