I like these a lot better than the piece of crap Samsung. This is good buy for a light duty home laser printer. Still for those with serious home office printing needs often on sale HL-5240 or 5250 are a better and more capable printers.
what makes you say that samsung is inferior to this one? I have had samsung for last 3years and it still prints fine. The exact same model as this one i had for less than a year i remember.
Jeez that's cheap. I just paid $50 for the black replacement toner on my Dell laser printer.
For those that have this, two questions: (1) does it have a straight through paper path for envelopes? (2) how well does it print them (e, looks good, not wrinkle)?
Is there a chance to get price match from NewEgg ?
this will save on taxes
can order on amazon or newegg for $50 and $20 MIR
You may want to buy 2 because the toner itself is probably almost $50.
2170w is only 35$ more, and wireless.
Huh, this thing was just $30 after $20 rebate last week.
Bought this last night at Staples, then emailed Ben about it, pretty quick to post.
#3 - Prints envelopes just fine. I've been printing docs all day long for school and work, no probs.
This is a no-brainer over any inkjet, and for so cheap! I'm about to take my Lexmark to the gun range. What a POS.
Staples has the replacement toner for $53.
just wait. this one goes on sale and rebate around $30 in many occassions.
I bought this for my friend's daughter. It is small, fast and efficient. I only wished a new toner cartridge would cost less than the printer though.
Thanks, #9. My last one, because of the way the paper path was set up (it made a big circle), it wrinkled all my envelopes horribly. Does this have a straight through paper path, where it goes in one side and comes out the other? Or does it go in the front and wind up on top?
at this price, no need to buy replacement cartridge. just buy a new printer when the toner runs out.
What's a good color laser? Don't care about photo printing and doesn't have to print perfect. Just looking at saving costs of ink cartridges for my current ink jet.
