Great price on a great printer. I've got one and absolutely love it. Only issues I've had were due to a flaky wireless router while using it connected wirelessly. Since switching to a different router, it's been working fine. Some people complain that it is difficult to set up the wireless networking, but it took me all of about 10 minutes. If you know what you're doing, it's not a big deal.
Is it K to buy a refurbished printer? Anyone have experience with that?
Sorry, if I mistyped my question. I meant to ask if it was K to buy a refurbished printer.
Is it alright to buy a refurbished printer?
#4 Did you buy a refurbished keyboard?
I use to work for xerox. When ever we had to do a refurb it would go through way more testing than new ones. Refurbs where the same as new, we use to gut the insides and put new parts then test a whole lot more. We had to make sure it wouldn't fail again.

#4 The printer will be $89.98 starting Sunday. See sneek peek on Staples website. No rebates needed.
#5, I have in the past purchased used computers with keyboards and a mouse with good results. I don't know about refurbished printers, which is why I asked.
Am I the only one wondering how 150 - 20 - 50 = 60?
Currently available at Newegg for $86 with free shipping. New, not refurbished.

i like this printer worth the investment, but setting up the wireless could be a pain in the arse
buy the samsung for 50.
Refurbished means getting rid of infant mortality, but more wear in general. Whether it's a deal depends on percent usage vs lifespan rating.
In general, a refurb'd printer is a good deal if it comes with full cartridges, of course I mean at the right price.
#5, I think #4 didn't get it. I did. Good one.
#12, have to disagree on buying the Samsung. We had a low-end Samsumg network printer at work (ML-2510n, I think) and we had to replace it. Found out later that Samsung has a reputation for having a very poor TCP/IP stack. Might work ok as a network printer if you have a simple network, but if you have multiple subnets, they go flaky.
I also had a Samsung ML-2010 at home that I picked up for $50. I had lots of problems with the paper handling. Finally replaced it with the Brother HL-2170w. Based on these experiences, I'm gun-shy when it comes to Samsung printers and can't recommend them.
I've had a refurb 2140 (non-networked, non-wireless) Brother Laser printer for about 3 years now with no problems at all. It was $50 at the time.
Why would you buy this refurbished? You can get a new one for between $50 and $60 any given week.
#5, I get it also. Funny.
#9, No youre not.
#17, care to inform us where we can find a new one for that price? I have a hunch youre either mistaken or just full of baconnaise.
Probably got this mixed up with the 2140, which doesn't have wireless.
2140 doesnt have networking at all. At any rate, Ill wait to see if Osborn explains. Mind your business.
