Wouldn't trust staples to honor coupons after they screwed us on the black friday laser printer deal. Cancelled.

I dont think it's fair to screw a store for making an innocent mistake. A laser printer for 15$, are you serious?

Brother brand laser printers go through toner really fast. The sensors are designed to make the printer think it's out of toner when there is actually plenty left, and then the printer won't work until it senses that the toner level is high again.

If you buy one, or if you're stuck with one already, cover the sensor with black electrical tape (you'll see a little clear circular window on the side of the toner cartridge when you take it out). You'll get almost twice as much out of each cartridge. Just replace it when the print quality deteriorates, 1000 extra pages later.

best deal in a while. purchased $25 off $75 from ebay for $1.68. Used it to add to the $60 instant discount, with tax and shipping free, the total going to New York is $70.75. After setting this one up, I am just going to throw the crappy 7820N away.

#3 That's also true of just about every other printer manufacturer. I love Brother for their no frills drivers, I will never buy another HP printer after dealing with 600mb driver downloads. I haven't noticed that my HL-2140 goes through toner particularly fast, my starter cartridge lasted about 1500 pages. Plus, mwave has off brand TN-360 cartridges for about $20 a pop.

Edit: TN-360 isn't what this printer uses, but the same deal may apply with a bit of searching.

Can someone recommend a fair priced all in one printer? Preferably from Brother as well since I hear their ink is cheaper than the bigger names.

#3 gives good advice from what I hear. Most people I have talked to say they do the same thing with their Brother printer.

The Canon ImageClass 4350 machines have worked really well for me, and they're laser, not inkjet. Network/ duplex scanning and printing over the network. If your willing to wait, the office box stores usually have a sale a couple times a year on them. I got mine for about $140, with an easyrebate. Plugged it into my router and everybody in the house prints to it now.

Cartridges cost 30-40 bucks and last long time.
