Agree with #1 - to me, besides the original toner/drum come with machine- I never use original parts. Always compatible toner.drum from eBay or whoever on sale. That make the operation cost very low. And there is some hack available on the toner so you can fully use the toner until toner is very very low. I currently have several brother AIO machine in my office- The oldest two of them is MFC 8600/9700 and they are still running ok - even they were made like 2002/2003.
Normally $200 and up elsewhere, looks like a good deal for something a step above lowest end AIOs.
With 3rd party cartridges, separate drums, and 3rd party bulk toner available if you don't mind DIY refills, this has very low operating costs.
