Buy the tapes at Costco or WalMart, about $9 instead of $15 at most places.

Costco only has one size/style but it is the one I use most often.

We have been using one of these at work for the past few years. It's dependable, but you have look up the manual to do anything like change fonts, font sizes, etc. For regular printing it's great.
The tapes are expensive, much like giving you the razor and hitting you on the blades.
