This was the one at Staples for $10 after rebate on BF, p-1280, which I bought on that Saturday (2-day sale). It was $20 with $10 rebate. Then later on they had a p-80 on sale, for I believe $30 with $20 rebate.
Sure, the p-1280 is better than the p-80, but the tape for the p-1280 is $17, while tape for the p-80 is $10. Most of the reviews I've read say the same thing: good labeler, but tape is too expensive.
The Brother 'keyboard'-style label makers are worth the extra $5 over the handheld versions when they're on sale. The only caveat is, as stated, the tapes are pricier than Dymo and they waste 1/2" of tape on either side of the printing. It doesn't matter if you manipulate the setting either as it will shorten the excess from one side but add it onto the other so it still wastes the same amount of tape.
But for $15 (and you can get the tapes for cheap or free, like through work), it's a good deal.
This is a lot better labeler than Staples had for $10 after rebate. This one does mutilple lines and is only $5 more with out a rebate.
It was $10 3 weeks ago with np rebate at OfficeMax.

Prefer the Label Baby Jr. Hoping to get one this Christmas.
These things are great, and always useful to have around. Its amazing how many things you will begin to find in need of labeling
