The Asus I have had neither, but does what they all do, vpn server, AP, Bridge, et al... Only thing it does not doe is local DNS hostname so when the Cable box is XCD-01b8c321a7bf, I can name it "Living.Room.Cable.Box"

Not clear -- looks like it may come with DD-WRT running, but wasn't supported (?) as of December:

FWIW I'm a big fan of TomatoUSB since moving over from DD-WRT. Having better luck with it and find it easier to use.
