Ends 12/16. At Burger King, buy one Whopper and get a second Whopper for $0.55 to celebrate 55 years of the Whopper. No coupon required; not valid on Whopper Junior sandwiches.
Ever since the price of gas went up, the cost of fast food went up along with it also.
I find it hard to believe that if the price of gas doubles, that's a significant enough increase in the % of total cost to produce fast food that it would justify the price rise. Typically it's cited that the cost of the ingredients at a restaurant are around 30% of the total meal cost.
Plus, the cost of fuel had already risen a few years earlier than when they were offering their buck double burgers. Taco bell seems to be a better example, over the past decade or longer their prices only rose by roughly 20-25%.
Dave, I think most of the guys around here aren't old enough to drive yet. I think you need to relate costs with the time it takes to ride their bike to go pickup stuff. Most of them get about $5 a day from Mom for lunch at school...

Does this come with Tums?
55 years of the Whopper? Carls Jr has this price all the time. 2/$3.50, 2/$3 on coupon...
We don't have Carls Jr. on this side of this world. They're called Hardees.
What's regular price for a whopper now, around $3?
I think it's around $3.50...
Hold the pickles, hold the lettuce, special order don't upset us.
All we ask is that you let us serve it your way...
It takes two hands to hold a Whopper.
I heard the Burger King once slipped his whopper into Wendy's hot and juicy.
Well, that's what a guy in a bar told me, anyway.
Have you SEEN Wendy on TV lately, oh sweet Jesus Dear GOD NO!
^ I think they show those commercials only in select test areas.

#9, you're not suppose to s*exually attracted to Wendys. If you're into that type of stuff, you'll have to go to Carl's Jr and get off there:

Wendy's once used the slogan, "Where's the beef?" I guess Burger King gave his beef to Wendy.
