But what would you use as an enclosure so it isn't just sitting on the floor with possible static discharge? Wouldn't a IDE/SATA USB2.0 enclosure be a better idea?
Has anyone tried a PATA drive in windows VISTA with this thing? I have a similar one and that combination doesn't seem to work
This type of product isn't for permanent installs. It's for people who want to quickly connect a HD and pull data off it, format it, what not. If you want a "clean" external setup, get a more expensive enclosure.
