    i have canoscan 650 and its old but i like it. if this one is slim and fast and usb powered then it must be even better.

    I have an lide 70 right here. Its the best. Only plug it USB when needed and dont have to worry about the power supply burning out like the last one did. Super slim, too.

    I have a Canon CanoScan LiDE25.

    Pluses: Slim, lightweight, USB-powered (works fine with notebook on battery), cheap (on sale).

    Minuses: Slow. VERY slow. (Maybe the LiDE100 is faster.)

    I echo #17's comment. I also have a LiDE25. Is it slow since it's USB 1.1 or is it just inherently slow?
