#2: A new model 450D will come out next Jan. It will have face detect, live view and maybe video capture as well. I'm going to wait for that.

man these have gone down in price like crazy. Excellent camera, only issue is going from a prosumer line and getting used to the different controls

Ben loves this body. He keeps wanting all you to have it for cheap. Go for it. You can't go wrong.

expecam ?? when it comes to digital cameras and camcoders, there are plenty of scam websites... if the price is too good to be true it most probably is a scam...$479 is a great price for this camera and DELL is a reliable place to buy.

I've seen MANY "shady internet camera" website like #20 pointed out. DO BE VERY CAREFUL PPL. And I completely agree with #20 about "they created and populated full of 'good reviews'". So need to seriously check around.

And I am not sure using Paypal is safe with these sites either.

I did take a risk and bought my lens from us1camera.com and it turned out very well. Don't have the OEM box but everything was included.

DO NOT BUY A CAMERA ONLINE FROM:

      TheDigitalNerds
      TheDigitalExpo
      WawaDigital
      Starlight Cameras
      Accessoriesland

These are all the same company, Starlight Cameras, and they will rip you off like everyone else. Now, it looks like BBB has wiped their slate clean off of their website stating thedigitalnerds.com has 0 complaints in the last 36 months, what the hell? What kind of paid ripoff scandal is that? They had 95% or MORE negative complaints filed with the BBB, only about 20% were ever resolved. Go to ripoffreport.com and search for "thedigitalnerds.com" if you don't believe me, you will find hundreds of complaints. Everybody bought from them originally because EPINONS gave them five stars!!! (If you buy from them, you will be the most miserable bastard on the planet, you will want to take them to court).

Here's how it works: There is no address listed, only a phone number. You place your order, you get an email that states to call them to confirm your order. When you call, some slurpee king answers the phone and tells you that you need a battery because the one that comes with it is not good enough, and the battery is like $90 bux. If you don't buy it, they tell you the camera is now refurbished. If you try to cancel your order they will not do it, but they will yell and scream at you and treat you like trash. what the ****??? DON'T BUY FROM THESE GUYS!!!

      check out ripoffreport.com

      ALSO AVOID:
      FotoConnection
      1 Stop Camera & Computers
      1 Stop Camera & Electronics
      4U Digital
      Digital Net Shop
      ePhoto Club
      Inoax
      One Stop Camera & Computers
      Rite Buys
      Superior bacon
      The New Connection... [Truncated]

Way too many stories about these ripoff places these days. Just a good and proper way to rip folks off. Shameful.

Um, it's $249 for a 10MP camera, OF COURSE it's going to be shady. Duh.

The XTi is a great camera, but the Canon kits lens is total crap. Get the Tamron 18-55mm, much much better.

Great camera, great price. Dell always seems to have the lowest price on Canon.

This camera sucks. it ruined my vacation. I just realized that most digital cameras have better picture quality than DSLR because DC was built on RF will DSLR was built on SLR. RF is always better than SLR in terms of picture quality.

learn how to use the camera. You can't compare iso 80 pictures to iso 1600!??! Plus, the rebel is still capturing a ton more detail. Learn how to work, kid!
