Canon has the refurbished Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Lens for $320 + $16 shipping = $336 shipped. Features an ultrasonic motor for near silent focusing and is a solid upgrade from the budget f/1.8 50mm lens that is often referred to as the 'nifty fifty'.

For $4 more, you can get it new with free shipping at Adorama. Not a deal.

Canon charges sales tax in my state so it's an extra $27 to Texas and my total is $363.70. Adorama offers free shipping and no sales tax and their gray market 50 1.4 is $369.

I think Canon will have some sort of retail presence in most states so don't forget the sales tax.

Why would you want a grey market lens?

    Grey market=NO WARRANTY

also...AAFES military shopmyexchange.com(if you qualify) has it new non-grey mkt for $399 minus 10% coupon (xi295enews) equals $360 + no tax + free shipping. comes from Japan with two weeks shipping & no customs. I had to take out the first e in the coupon but try the whole thing now, they might have fixed it.

Canon does not typically actually require warranty information. They're amazingly good about repairing their stuff... often for free.
