Last day. Newegg has the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Telephoto Zoom Lens for $155 - $20 off with coupon code LENS621 [Exp 6/30] + $5 shipping = $140 shipped. Features a DC motor as AF drive actuator and a 4.9-foot close focus distance.
This lens is the baconnaise....I mean, this lens is baconnaise. No IS means crap shots at long focal lengths. Even the version with IS is pretty crapola (I have the 55-250 IS). Put the $140 towards an L lens with a good hunk of glass in it.
You could use this lens to get a good picture of yourself for this: http://faceinspace.nasa.gov/

Yeah, this is a pretty crappy lens, even for the price. Put the $140 toward a so-so 18-200IS for a general all-purpose lens, or go for the 55-250IS.
I tried this lens early on at an indoor baseball game. Took >100 shots, maybe 2-3 keepers at best.
Better off getting the IS version at 225 dollars more at Walmart...
