I've been considering this camera since January, but everywhere I go people say "Just wait for T4i which will probably be announced with a week" and now it's about to be April.

I personally would rather swap the 55-250mm and 50mm to a Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Len for casual user /entry level level set. Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Len is just a better lens.
#2 : Maybe your wait can be over after NAB in Las Vegas ( 2 weeks away). Wish you good luck!
However when T4i/650D released- it might take some time for price to drop. If you were bargain hunter- then you probably have to wait more.... Smile

I would wait, next crop out consumer DSLR might have WIFI built in, which might be awesome to have.

#4 You mean 4ti or Nikon DSLR ? Even the 5DIII don't have wi-fi build in - I don't think T4i can have it. But it could be Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E7A compatible. Same as Nikon D4- still need Wt5 to do wirelss. So If you want the "wi-fi" Build in - you probably will wait a lot of longer I guess.

Giving this camera the name "rebel" is a joke.
If you buy it, you are a 100% conformist.

Do you need this camera to take quality pictures?
The vast majority of the worlds best photographs were taken with non digital cameras using less capable equipment.
Stop trying to compensate for your lack of expertise with equipment.
Give up and search for something else for which you may have an aptitude.
Better yet, just give up altogether and use a combination of alcohol and anti-depressants like many of your peers.

#6 : I agree with you : name "rebel" is a joke--- but think this way: It's really much better the "KISS" used in Japan

@ Ghost Rider, I meant Canon or Nikon. Rumor has it that the new Nikon D3200 will have wifi, the T4i i'm not sure but there is a possibility that it might have it as well (people are talking about touch screen and wifi). I think that's the must have feature for the next generation consumer DSLR. IQ on these DSLR are more than enough for most people, next step is the cut down the workflow. Next month is going to be a good one for consumer level DSLR .

Hmmm I have been waiting to get a camera. I was going to get the D60? I wonder if I should pull the trigger on this.

h0tsauce- It's very interesting that entry level DSLR got some feature that just launched high end D800 ( About $3K) don't even have. It's kind of abnormal isn't it ? So this NAB should be interesting....
Since you are Nikon people, may I ask how do you feel about the Nikon in Camera HDR function ? Working well ?

BTW- 200 unit sold - The deal is dead...

Nikon in camera HDR is like their full time auto focus in video, at best it's something for people who are new to dslr to play with. I guess it's due to technology limitation, you only get combination of two shots two stops apart, and output is jpeg only. Imo not really that useful since you loses the raw file.

h0tsauce - SO maybe Photomatix Pro still the better solution for HDR. Thank you for sharing your experience. repped...

I've seen 1080 wireless transmitters for peanuts now.
Why can't this be built in, or as an optional add-on?!?!?
I have the eyefi card which sends the photos to ipad shortly after shooting over wifi, but it's not enough.
      NEED MORE!!

More build in function = less accessories sales.
Canon always release their technology gradually. They are not going to release everything to you once for all. Then they might have nothing newer/better for next model/year... Unless they feel the pressure from Nikon I guess.. Smile
