Agree, for not much more you can get Nikon D3100 or Canon own T2i. Both superior camera.

But Ben's hotness gauge is going up.

How is that happening? This has to be a good deal!

i just bought a used one on ebay the other day (like new). these can be had for ~$400 all day. it has more options than the D3100 (bracketing) IMO. i was looking for something in between the D5000 and the D5100 and this fit for me. it is all kind of relative. an "extra $100" is still $100 and is what put the D5100 and the X2i out of the picture for me.
