Electronics Expo has the new Canon EOS Rebel T4i 18 MP 3.0" Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens for $949 - $35 off with coupon code BENSBARGAINS + $10 shipping = $924 shipped.
18MP CMOS (APS-C), Full HD video, Vari-angle 3" LCD, live view
9-Point AF, ISO 100-12800 expandable to 25600, 5.0 frames/sec
The major improvement for T4i is video capability. However I doubt the video quality can be better than HD camcorder. Maybe wait for more review and we will know. But for the limited new feature but pump up the price about $200-$300 ? I don't think Canon make a nice move here. Special Nikon D3200 raise a standard for entry level DSL camera. Old deal T3i kit lens combo $599
BTW, Canon also release 2 new lens for better video recording ( EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM $500 or the EF 40mm f/2.8 STM $200). That means if you need better video you have also invest more on lens. And the 18-55mm kit lens range is COVERED BY 18-135MM LENS. So this kit is Worth or not it really depends how you think. If you would like T4i-I would suggest buy body and 18-135mm STM combo (or buy separately)
This or a 60D? practically the same price.
I'll get the T3i for $300 if it drops.

At this price - if I were in a market for 1, I will pass T4i myself...
The point of video on a DSLR is that you can use any lens you want. Many people use DSLRs for video these days because of it.

I've got the T3i and I love it. This one looks great too. I recommend getting a longer lens (70-200mm).
