So whats the difference between this one and the XSI? OTHER than the 2 extra megapixels?
Do a little homework first #1. It's not that difficult.

Now you're talkin' Dell. This is very good, even with tax.
sthu! If everyone did their own reasearch then what would be the point of discussions like this?
#3 - Discussions are all well and good, but do YOU have 6 bills to drop on a DSLR without doing your own RESEARCH?
Go for it moneybags, I'm a true Ghetto Dog - I RESEARCH!
Why stop at 6? Any decent 2-3 lens system will run a cool grand, minimum.
LOL - keeping up on discussions for the Xsi their are people here considering dropping a grand JUST on one lens!
I guess the stock optics are crap at best, but phew 1G for a lens....
Just ordered through shopdiscover.com for a delightful extra 5% cashback! Woohoo!
And then, of course, just realized the price has dropped on Amazon, down to $523. Still a bargain from Dell, even with the tax.
This is great starter for dSLR. The lens is ok but the price is too good. Unless any score the XT for $250 at Target when it was on cleareance. This is the next best band for the buck.
Amazon's price went down again: $512 now. If you're not using a special cashback card and Dell hits you with tax, Amazon is probably a better option.
it looks like a good deal, but be careful when order with dell, you can not cancel your order once you place one. The only way is to wait till you receive and return the item, but that costs you 15% restocking fee plus shipping
