I like! These are supposedly pretty good entry level slr cameras and a great price. I just might pick one of these up.

this cameras are great, mine is the 6 meg pixel and I love it. If you can afford to buy a better lens than what is ships with then you will have a great camera for years to come. Just beware that this type of camera are a point to log around in a long trip, but the results are well worth it.

I bought the XSi (this years newest model) and it would highly recommend it. This deal is pretty good if that is your price ceiling but for a couple hundred more you can have a better camera (12.2 mp + 3" LCD) and get better lenses (same 18-55 lens but the 70-255 is an Image stabilization lens). I got mine from the same site just search for the XSi. I think my total was 789 for body + 2 lenses. So like I said if you can add 50% to the cost of this camera you will not be disappointed in the new technology.

Not in stock, they charge cc when ordered - not when shipped-

This is a reputable retailer and a good price for a good camera. From Steve's
Bottom line - Canon has put together yet another awesome Digital SLR for the beginner to intermediate user. The combination of ease of use and versatility make this a very appealing model in the "entry-level" category. With a street price of US$699, it's about $100 less than its big brother, and I feel the XS offers a great "bang for your buck". With outstanding image quality, very robust performance, and loads of useful exposure options, the Rebel XS will make a great camera for anyone who is just stepping into the dSLR realm, or for an experienced photographer who would like a more compact model. The only issues I really had with this camera were the useless Live View function, and the loss of the rubber hand grip. Overall, I would highly recommend this model to anyone looking at purchasing their first dSLR.
