Not a deal. For this price you do NOT get a lens.

It is available with that lens, but the Zipzoomfly model for $608 doesn't look like the kit that includes the lens to me. Read the fine print concerning what is included in the box. Also they have another model with a lens for more money.

      No lens.
The 18mm-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens is ok though. I have the XS with this lens and the pictures are not bad. Good enough for newbie like me.

If people will spend $$ for a good lens ( like L series) - I don't think they will consider this model. I do think the 18 mm - 55 mm - f/3.5-5.6 IS is good for general use. Consumer lens is used on consumer camera body that's how the combo designed. If you want better lens- you need better camera ( like at least 50d 40d or above) to fully utilize the nice lens- Otherwise you are wasting the nice lens.....

You don't need L series lenses to take good pictures. The lens/camera is only as good as its user. And there is a huge lens selection for Canon cameras that will do just fine and get comparable image quality. But that is besides the point of this post.

This camera does not come with a lens and is not worth the price advertised. Move along.

body is only 20% of a good picture...lens is def the greater part in the ability to take "good" pictures
