Worst customer service at Abes of Maine....Should be named Crooks of Jersey!
i'd rather go with spending a little more and getting it from amazon.
Abes of Maine is a KNOWN scam shop. NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM. EVER.
Worthless waste of time, and you're liable to lose all your money.
I bought from them, and got the good price. They made me call them to try to sell me more stuff, and made me feel bad for not buying more from them. They did send me everything for the price though. I don't think it is worth the hassle, but if you are really cheap they at least honored the price and sent me the item.

I bought my XT from them a few years back and was not not cheated out of a single dime. They DID, however, make me call them back to "verify the order" before they would ship it. They tried to sell me a "better" lens and various accessories to which I replied, "No thanks!" and they immediately shipped me the camera. Unlike a true scam shops, the camera did NOT suddenly become backordered when I didn't buy the accessories, it was NOT a gray market model without a US warranty and they did NOT try to sell me things already included in the box for jacked up prices. Abes uses high pressure sales tactics but they are NOT a scam shop.
I don't know about ordering online but I went to their Brooklyn, NY store and it's all legit. They even give me an immediate replacement after I incorrectly believed the camera I received was damaged.
I wouldn't be buying from these guys. I know friends who have had trouble with them.
I just got this camera from amazon. Great camera at a great price.
