What #1 said. The only advantage the newer HV30 has is the addition of 30p and an LCD that's easier to see when tilted, this is a real bargain, HV20s are selling for $600+ used on eBay.
I agree this is a great deal. I bought a used one off of Ebay for $580 a couple of months ago.
tapes - i hate tapes. I never use my current camcorder, because then I have to transfer it to the PC. Need a Hard drive based unit for faster transfers.
Awesome deal on an awesome camera. I'm considering getting this as a 2nd one just for the player part of it. Stand-alone HDV players go for over 2 grand.
