Sweet price, what's the catch? This is one of the most highly rated HD cams out now.

This does 1080i on to mini-dv. I don't know if I'd call that "true" HD...

However, if you have a Blackmagic Card you can capture the FULL 1080p HD @ 24p 4:2:2 over HDMI... but then you have to deal with a 24p workflow... And no body "correct" me by saying it doesn't do 1080p... it does, just over HDMI and @ 24 frames.

#2, anything TV can display 720p and 1080i or above are true High Def.
      So 1080i is true HD.

This will do 24p. That being said, for most recordings, the look of 24p isn't advantageous.

While this is a great price, it isn't new. Circuit City has had it at this price for weeks.

m0f0, I've been on a lot of sites and you are by far the biggest burp troll I've ever seen. Is your life that sad that you have nothing better to do but go into every single goddamn thread and post complete and utterly useless baconnaise?

You should either a) contribute something useful, or b) kill yourself.

I hope you go with option B.

Now, as far as the camcorder goes, this is the best price I've seen yet and the camera has won several awards. I'd get it if I could afford it, even this latest low price.

These comments are uncalled for. You're all making it akward for me to browse for good bargains.

#8, I could not agree more. I will recommend to Ben that #7 be banned ASAP the next time I converse with him. *smirk*

#4 "true" HD is a relative term, not to mention that when I made that statement I used the qualifiers: I don't know, and I'd.

And yah, I still wouldn't say 1080i is "true" HD, anything interlaced is not "true" HD in my eyes... 1080p is the only "true" HD in my opinion.

And my opinion is about 100 times more valid than your's if your too stupid to read the first half of the sentence you apparently disagree with.
