For people who own this unit or want to buy this unit: There is a CLI-8 cartridge chip resetter available on market- make sure you get one if you need to refill your cartridge by yourself.

This unit is recertified and only has a 90 day manufacturers warranty for parts/labor not 1 year as stated above.a

I have one and the ink is expensive. Besides that I've gotten Cannon carts that don't work and keep telling me I have two the same color in the unit(I don't). You can't print until the error is cleared. I wouldn't get the printer again. It is a same because Otherwise it is fine, but the ink thing is a deal breaker.

#2 Sorry for the late response. I got from a ebay seller call 1800save. I bought form them since they are the lowest $18.99 price. If you like store better, Meritline.com has it for $24.99 and they basically look exactly the same.
You can refill your cli-8 cartridge and let your cartridge sit on the resetter for a few seconds- Them you can put the cartridge back to your MP530 and it works fine for me. For your reference.
