I have the MX850 & it's the best printer i've ever owned. I've installed 5 of these, no problems.
Still on the MX850
Supports SDHC cards in the memory reader as well.
Network printer, scanner, fax, & even the media card reader is networked. It's not as fast as a USB reader when reading across the network but it works fine.
No I'm not a spokeshole for Canon.
I just got one of these myself, and it works great for me too.
Wireless was easy to install, just don't lose the CD!
My only complaint about my MX860 is the size of the ink tanks - they are tiny and go quickly.
Print quality is excellent, scanning is a breeze, and faxing, well, is faxing...
I have the MX850 and as #1 said it is great. Got mine for around $100 as a refurb from NewEgg. NewEgg has many great deals on Canon refurbs. Mine looked like new and no signs it was reworked. Since I have it plugged into my wireless network don't see much value in having wireless built in. There was a firmware upgrade for my 850 that supposedly reduced ink usage and fixed a few bugs that I never experienced. May be one for the 860 too.. Aftermarket ink is cheap and works good enough for me since I don't print many pictures. I think Canon is the way to go on ink jets. Would love to find a laser with as good performance and versatility for a reasonable price (< $300) but haven't seen one yet.
