is canon trying to end this particular printer? ever since bf, the price is stuck at $80.
What does one have to do with the other?
Yes. Once the aftermarket ink manufactures figure out how to get around the chip in the ink cartridge Canon releases another model. The replacement is the MX882.
i have the mx882. i just bought it from staples on bf for $71. i not sure i want to buy an aftermarket ink yet. i'm not sure which companies are reliable.
^ At the cost savings you can try several to find the best and still come out ahead.
They also have refurbished ones for around $60. My current Canon printer I bought refurbished and looked and was packed like a new one. 2 years of heavy SOHO use and still working great even running $2.50 ink cartridges through it.
