      #3 so you would rather carry around a proprietary charger for each device you own? And pay way too much to replace it or even buy an extra?

      So many Powershots to choose.
      I'm an old astronomer, know optics stuff fairly well.
      It's a nightmare to select what telescope to buy, depending on what your intentions are.
      Camera selection is 1000 times worse.
      Even I don't know what to pick.
      How can the average consumer?

      Which one is really bang for the buck these days? And firmware/software mods would be a plus.

      "Bang for the buck" is pretty relative in term of personal preference.
