No experience with this particular model, but this is a great line of cameras (I have the A430). Great deal at $100 price point. A bit bricky to put in your pocket, but just take your savings and buy a little Tamrac case with a shoulder strap.

Great cam. I'm not sure if it could be beat at this price point. It now zooms during video shooting 640x480 20fps and 320x240 30fps. The 20fps is surprisingly smooth. it also seems to have great battery life. I still have the original alk cells that came with it after shooting 50+ shots and 20 minutes of hi-res video. No "low battery" complaints yet. The preview screen is large and protected by clear plastic.

This cam is smaller than it's predecessors. It has a great macro mode. I was able to take pictures of spider mites. It also comes with that new "face detection" feature although I question it's usefulness. I bought an 8GB SHDC card will probably never need a larger card.

The biggest gripe I have is the lack of a view finder however the preview screen seems to hold up well against direct sunlight.

When did Ben's start attracting so many camera geeks? It's starting to get more out of hand than milf_hunter's slew of unfunny posts under multiple IDs.

go with the a5xx series if you plan to explore photography more than always just doing point-shoot. I have the a4 and the a5 and much prefer the extra features of the 5s (they are larger though).
