The PowerShot A470 is one of the best deals available for an entry-level digital camera, but remember it IS just that, ENTRY LEVEL... Fairly large compared to most of today's digital cams too.
I'll stick with my Canon SD950 IS
It's good little cam for the money.
Good deal, and good that it's not smaller since that bodes ill for longevity.
Great Deal for a great entry level camera. If you have a 9/10/11 yr old that wants a camera, this is a fine choice. It is actually a good thing that this is not a sub-compact, as it is easier to grip/hold on to. The 590IS from Canon is another excellent choice.
