This is a GREAT point and shoot camera. Just bought one recently for my son. Good ergonomics, excellent features, and Canon software is easy to use. Photo quality is excellent. $87 is a good price. I paid $20 higher last month.

I have an a460, it has a supermacro feature which i have not seen on another canon except this one. It takes great pictures as well.

They changed the A470 in that it doesn't have a view finder. However, the LCD screen is big and is actually pretty good even in direct sun light. They also made the thing shoot better video. It has 640x480 mode that is super sharp but has a lower-than-usual frame rate. I forget the rate but the video is pretty smooth regardless. It also takes SDHC, unlike the 460, so you can gets lots of video room real cheap. Also, unlike other low end 2xAA-cell cams, this one seems pretty responsive and goes a logn way between needing a recharge of my 2000Mah hybrid cells.

$87 for a Canon is a good deal - if it had a viewfinder I'd say it was a fantastic deal.
