Bought it from NewEgg last week, nice camera. (not as compact as the others but has alot of features)
How to compare to this one at cheaper price + 4GB memory card free

nice camera, but i like canon's smaller form factor
Great camera, easy to use and very competitive price.
Definitely a good price on the camera. But if you can afford a little more, you can pick up a 770 or 1100.
#2 - I don't like the quality of the Kodak digital camera's. I also have a Canon that's over 5 years old still working. The gf's Kodak is dead after less that 1 year.
#2 wow a free $6 memory card.
Agreed. This Canon is a great camera for just over $100. Good enough that I am giving away 5 of them as X-mas gifts. And yes, you can get 4GB cards for well under $10. I have also heard lots of bad things about Kodak's build quality.
guess there is no point in using canon's trade in program, the way prices keep dropping
If anyone's interested...

The A590 isn't top, but did quite well. Panasonic LZ8 and Sony W120 came up top.
Does this accept SDHC cards or it takes only SD cards??
What the heck happened to the Canon A720IS? Consumer Reports gave that camera a "best buy" rating and they disappeared from the market. Booo.
This is alot of camera for the money, but if you want a much smaller form factor and great specs check out the Pentax Optio M150 that Ben has listed here for only $89 through Buy.com.
This camera and, for that matter, most all of Canon's point and shoots get good reviews, although you will find some complaints about the A590's video speed and lack of RAW support. Of course, if you're so inclined, hacks are available.
Here's one from PC Magazine:

GREAT PRICE!!!
Nice cam. Uses AA batteries so plop them in and you're ready to take pictures. Other cams have smaller form but you must keep the battery constantly charged so you don't miss those UFO shots.
Good deal. I've had several Canons and they've all been good.
#14 was hinting at the CHDK http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK . They have firmware for this camera now.
#14, 99.9% of the people buying this cam have no idea what RAW is.
This one's on my list
