very good low light camera, but price is still the same as when posted last week
I love this camera. A higher end camera in a smaller size! Only problem I have is that it can be hard to handle in your hands. With the dial in the front, and working the buttons on the back, you have to be able to hold a small camera while doing other functions (if in full manual) with your other fingers.
Besides that, it turns out great quality pictures at your control. Even does RAW images if you want it.
This one vs the G11 anyone?
G11 will have better image quality, but imo with the size and price of the G11, you may as well get an SLR. This camera is above and beyond what a P&S should be able to do, and is more pocketable than a Panny LX3 due to the retractable lens.
And it's nice this thing is so widely available.
I currently have a Fuji F31fd and have been contemplating replacing it with this camera. The G11 from what I've read is not that much better with tons more size.
S90 & G11 share the same sensor and Digi4 processor, almost all reviews show identical image quality.
Was in the market for the LX3.....couldnt find it anywhere. Ordered it at Dell. Waited 2 months....didnt come through. G11 was too big (when I dont mind big I use my SLRs).so S90 it was.
Great little camera. Love the dials front and on back.
I like the optical viewfinder of my G9. It's bulkier, but you can stretch out the battery life longer if you need it.
I'll pick LX3 over this one.
they still got lx3's at amazon for around the same price. i personally like the lx3 better as well, but at least someone offered some competition...
i'd really like to see someone (*ahem* dpreview.com) to do a comparo of the lx3 and s90...
I'll pick the DSLR ENTRY level than any type of PAS
