Great camera. Worth the money for what its capable of.
looks ugly and expensive
LOADED for a compact... low-light shots without flash come out clean...
the two wheels for controlling different fine adjustments is quite handy... i'd say it's definitely welcoming for those who use mid-level canon DSLRs and better (x0D - xD; where 'x' = 1 through 7).
Lumix TZ5 is an excellent camera.
Good review here:

what kind of batteries does it take?
#6 Got its own one NB-6L I think.
Great job padding your post count, #4.
Keep repeating the same thing on every thread, Rain Man.
good deal, but CA sale tax kill the deal
Nice. I was going to crack on it as overpriced, but the reviews say otherwise. Now I want one.
This, LX3, or a wide angle lens... decision decision
This will be a perfect all round compact camera if Canon has not skimped on the movie mode. C'mon Canon it's almost 2010 and even your line of cheap DCs can do 720p now. Not able to zoom while filming sucks too.
#11: I ordered an LX3 and waited for 3 months before finally giving up. I couldnt get one and the few places selling them atthe time were bloating the price. So I settled for this.
If you mean a wide angle lens for an SLR then the latter first imho!
I'll pick LX3 over this one.
reviewer in post #5 says he likes this camera better than LX3. Anyone else have any opinions on one over the other?
Here's a little debate on dpreview u can read.

Dunno why DPreview didn't do a full review on this camera yet though. Not a bad price for near DSLR quality imo, AND apparently better color accuracy than the LX3? In all honesty though, my brother's LX3 is pretty nice. How much those running for these days?

S90 is NOT really a competitor to LX3, in term of price, size and feature, althought I do think image quality wise Canon is better this time around. S90 is very small, slight shorter than a deck of card. It is very pocketable. LX3 is not a pocketable camera my standard.
LX3 is $499 these days, which is the same price as Canon G11. They are more or less the same class.
