What happened #1? It failed after the warranty period? I've had good luck with my refurb Nikon DSLR after 3+ years (apples and oranges) so I'm thinking about jumping on this. Sales tax is applied though.
First off the refurb warranty is 90 days while buying new is one year. I bought two refurb camera's from Canon 1) First camera had a spring in the lens that they overpacked with grease which constantly oozed out onto the lens. Canon replaced the camera no problems. 2) Another refurb Canon camera died so I sent it back for a warranty replacement. They said they would not replace the camera because it had water damage. lol The camera had hardly been used by me and never saw a drop of water.
Yep, knew about the 90-day. I figure it'll get enough use in the next three months that any issues should arise during the warranty period. Sucks about the bogus water damage. In for one!
This is an excellent camera at a good price but I've been screwed by Canon once in the past with a refurb camera.
