8MP cameras should be sub $100. this deal sucks.

i'm waiting for $99 before xmas.
this is not some cheapo camera from a second rate brand. This is from the top dog in digital imaging Canon, and its a well built product with style, good features, nice lens and image stabilizer. You are not gonna find this sub-$100.
I agree you won't find this sub 100. I waited about half a year for it to drop from $250 to $200. Now after I bought it a few months later it's $150, but I highly doubt they will drop it any more without selling out of it or just discontinuing it. That being said, my lens broke after about 3 times of using it and not abusing it, and I had to send it back to Canon for a repair. They repaired it with no issues, but it was still an annoyance.
i just got this with the 4 gig card from newegg and very happy. Its very fast and so small which is great when I dont want to carry around my bulky nikon.
This is a nice camera, the image stabilization is impressive.
Solid deal, but it can go down to $130 or so. I'd go for the 770 for $169 on Amazon. It's a slightly better camera, and there is no tax.
Buy it. I love mine. Small enough to take anywhere. Hiking, biking, whatever. Takes great pics and is a pleasure to use. Has an optical viewfinder too!

canon is a canon, very good in p&s camera, but not good for DSRL
I have this camera. It's Good! You won't even know it's in your pocket. But consider the IS770 which is 10MP and has been selling around $160. You may come back to this but check it out.

Pretty good and easy for regular users. Electronic prices are coming down quite a bit.
I agree with #8 and #12 about looking into the 770 instead.
I researched digital cameras a ton lately, b/c of the xmas season. I found the 770 to be the best choice compared to all the others in its class.
Didn't it come with a 4gb SD card deal for the same price not too long ago?
