I have one of these and we really like it. I think we paid $200 for it in June.

Just got an SD800IS for my wife on eBay for about $120. Very nice camera, well built, great LCD, great image stabilization. I don't care for the small custom battery pack (which is why I use a Canon A570 with AA cells) but it makes the camera smaller.

I picked this up from dell a few weeks ago and it is very solid. It is much better at night photos han i expected, but still not exceptional.

#2 and 3 LOL. No you are wrong. This battery is superior over AA batteries. I have taken hundreds of flash shots before it required recharging. And a full charge takes less than 2 hours. Yes it's smaller and better than the AS1100 model for $10 more.

Returned it. Don't get me wrong, I have had several SD series cameras that I have absolutely loved. But, the last two generations from Canon (both middle level and high end) have left me disappointed. I think they have focused too much on pushing up megapixels, and not enough on sensor size and optics. People who gush over this camera don't know any better.

The lens on these does generate some noise regardless of the MP. BTW this deal is expired already.
