all my digital cameras are canon (currently have 5 of them)! and bought canon for my family as gifts. love their flash! My newest toy is the Xsi, which i still trying to figure out the functions (pictures still look wonderful when i dun even know many of the functions, LOL).

Agreed, #3, although the best thing about Canon is their high-end glass, L-series lenses. But these little guys are great -- I jumped in and got my family SD1100IS (predecessor to the 1200) and they take great shots. But I've also got to agree with #2 - the price on this hasn't started to drop.

What's the best canon point & shoot with the widest angle and at a good price point?

I still have the Cannon S50 from 5 or 6 years ago ( 5mp ) and still works great...though its time for an upgrade
